NADIS researchers were actively involved in this year’s Dutch Society for Research on Ageing (DuSRA) annual meeting, hosted at Amsterdam and themed “Building Bridges.” The meeting brought together early-career and established scientists to discuss new findings in ageing biology and opportunities for collaboration across the field.
From the NADIS consortium, Georges Janssens gave a well-received talk on avoidable and unavoidable changes in ageing, sparking lively discussion. On day two, Kasper T. Vinten presented new results on NAD⁺ precursors as a therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer’s disease, supported by Alzheimer Nederland, and Maria M. Trętowicz shared her latest work on NAD⁺ blood measurements and their relationship to ageing, with publication forthcoming.

We warmly congratulate all presenters for showcasing impactful science on behalf of NADIS.
A special announcement for our community: Riekelt Houtkooper has been elected as a new co-chair of DuSRA. We extend our congratulations to Riekelt and look forward to continued strong connections between NADIS and the Dutch ageing research community.
